Death by Force

On March 21, 2021, at approximately 6:05 a.m., 52-year-old Brandy Lee Moore Ballard was driving her 2007 Ford Focus southbound in the 800 block of Arkadelphia Road in Birmingham, Alabama. Her vehicle was struck head-on by a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro that crossed the center line from the northbound lane. Witnesses reported that the Camaro was involved in an illegal street race at the time of the collision. Ballard, who was not participating in the race, was pronounced dead at the scene.
