On September 1, 2021, the body of 42-year-old Misty Dawn Davis-Beasley was discovered along the shoulder of the 6300 block of 5th Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified her through fingerprint analysis and noted evidence of foul play, prompting the Birmingham Police Department to initiate a homicide investigation.
