On February 12, 2018, 18-year-old Elizabeth Annette "Lizzy" Price and her boyfriend, 19-year-old Ty Alexander Pepper, were fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The couple was discovered by police at the intersection of 12th Street and 12th Avenue North in the Fountain Heights neighborhood. Both had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
