On May 11, 2016, 34-year-old Coral Anita Wilson was fatally shot in her Birmingham, Alabama, home during a domestic incident. The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street North. Four of Wilson's children, aged 12, 11, 8, and 5, were also injured in the attack but survived.
