On the morning of May 7, 2022, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Birmingham Police officers from the West Precinct responded to reports of gunfire in the 3200 block of Beulah Avenue Southwest. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle that had collided with a stop sign. Inside the car, 45-year-old Teresa Denise Coleman was found in the driver's seat, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.
