In the spring of 2022, the life of 45-year-old Teresa Denise Coleman, a Black female from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On Saturday, May 7, 2022, Coleman was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1800 block of Bessemer Road. The discovery was made in the early hours of the morning, just before 1 a.m.

Birmingham police and fire medics were dispatched to the scene where they found Coleman unresponsive. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the location. He ...
