On the morning of May 7, 2022, 45-year-old African American woman Teresa Denise Coleman was found deceased in the driver's seat of a vehicle that had collided with a stop sign in the 3200 block of Beulah Avenue Southwest in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to a call about a gunshot heard around 8:30 a.m., Birmingham Police officers discovered Ms. Coleman with a fatal gunshot wound.
