In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 26-year-old Briana Young, a Black female, was tragically cut short. On September 5, 2018, Young was driving in the South Pratt neighborhood when she was fatally wounded by gunfire. The incident, which occurred around 2:20 a.m., also left a male passenger in the vehicle with serious injuries.
