Death by Force

On the night of August 30, 2024, 48-year-old April Rosella Barton was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 10:30 p.m., Barton was crossing Princeton Avenue SW at Lomb Avenue SW when she was hit by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but Barton was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:58 p.m.
