In the winter of 2016, the life of 16-year-old Raven Terese White, a high school junior with dreams of becoming a nurse, was tragically cut short. On the evening of January 8th, in Birmingham, Alabama, the promising young female was the victim of a fatal shooting. At six and a half months pregnant, she was looking forward to becoming a mother to a baby girl she had already named Aaliyah Renee.
