In the early morning hours of a Friday in June 2012, tragedy struck in Southwest Detroit, forever altering the life of a hardworking 39-year-old man. Mark Tompkins, a truck driver, was fiercely proud of his Ford Crown Victoria, a car he had saved diligently to purchase.
