On the evening of December 6, 2021, a burst of violence shattered the night in Wilmington, Delaware, leaving 37-year-old Maurice Harrigan, a Black/African American male, dead. The fatal encounter unfolded in the 600 block of New Castle Avenue, where police were dispatched following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Harrigan suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
