On February 16, 2023, John Marcus Weeks, a 33-year-old African American male from Reddick, Florida, was fatally shot in Gainesville. Born on August 21, 1989, in Gainesville, he was the son of Mary F. Weeks and the late Clifford Weeks. He is survived by his mother, three children—Jason M. Weeks, Jekari V. Weeks, and Jordan M. Kline—and three siblings: Tara Tolbert, Monique A.
