On February 15, 2022, 21-year-old Derek Brown from Wilmington, Delaware, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 9:27 PM near the intersection of 10th and Spruce Streets. Wilmington Police responded to the scene and found Brown suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
