William O. Brown, 35, a male, Black resident of Wilmington, was out just after midnight on November 16, 2015, when a fight inside The Gold Club—a strip club at 1031 South Market Street—spilled toward the bathrooms. In the tight space near the entrance to the restroom, a single shot rang out. Witnesses described chaos and a man sprinting from the doorway as staff rushed in to find Brown gravely wounded.
