In the winter of 2008, the life of a young Black man, 19-year-old Gerald McNair, was tragically cut short in Wilmington, Delaware. On the evening of Monday, December 15, 2008, McNair became a victim of gun violence. The sudden and violent nature of his death left his family and friends in profound grief.
