On the night of July 18, 2016, 15-year-old African American male Tyreek Scott was fatally shot in Wilmington, Delaware. At approximately 11:58 p.m., Wilmington police responded to reports of gunfire near 11th and Bennett Streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered the 15-year-old African American male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to the hospital, the 15-year-old African American male succumbed to his injuries.
