In the early hours of November 1, 2018, Wilmington Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 200 block of South Franklin Street. Upon arrival at approximately 1:36 a.m., officers discovered 38-year-old Dwayne Wright suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by officers and medical personnel, Wright succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
