Dwayne Edward Wright, a 38-year-old Black man from Wilmington, Delaware, was killed during an early-morning shooting on November 1, 2018. Shortly after 1:30 a.m., the quiet of the 200 block of South Franklin Street was broken by gunfire. Wilmington police officers were dispatched to the neighborhood after receiving a report of shots fired, arriving to find Wright gravely wounded at the scene.
