Hakeem Smalls, a 25-year-old Black male, was shot during a late-night robbery in Wilmington, Delaware. Just before midnight on September 27, 2019, he was confronted near 25th and Monroe Streets, where assailants took his legally purchased handgun and fired twice, leaving him mortally wounded. He was rushed to Christiana Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
