Cashis Boston, 24, a Black male from Wilmington, was shot on Friday, May 16, 2025, just before 5 p.m. in the 700 block of West 6th Street in the city's West Center City neighborhood. Officers arrived within minutes of the gunfire—about 4:54 p.m.—and found him critically wounded. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
