On July 3, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers were flagged down in the 1100 block of 4th Avenue North by individuals reporting a shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to UAB Hospital, where 22-year-old Salhadine Didler Adamou of Bessemer, Alabama, was pronounced deceased. The second victim's condition was not disclosed.
