On September 19, 2023, 36-year-old Antonio Devon Coleman was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 1:50 p.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to reports of a person shot in the 4000 block of Jefferson Avenue Southwest. Upon arrival, they discovered Coleman unresponsive under the awning of a commercial building, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
