Jonathan Luke Edouarzin, a 31-year-old man from Charlotte, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on June 29, 2022. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on Westbury Lake Drive in Charlotte. At approximately 1:30 a.m., Jonathan was shot and sustained life-threatening injuries. Despite the prompt arrival of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office, in consultation with the police Homicide Unit, classified the case as a justified homicide. Consequently, no charges were pressed against the individual responsible for Jonathan's death. The decision not to prosecute was made on July 22, 2022.
