In the early morning hours of October 15, 2023, the quiet of a Birmingham, Alabama neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to a ShotSpotter alert at approximately 2:28 a.m., West Precinct officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1800 block of Fulton Avenue Southwest. Inside the home, a grim discovery awaited them: the bodies of 28-year-old Damon Thomas and 24-year-old Jacquic Little.
