In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of Thomas Lee Bailey, a 31-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On January 15, 2023, Bailey was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle in the 100 block of 4th Avenue North. The incident unfolded around 2:20 a.m. when an off-duty Birmingham police officer heard the sound of gunfire and went to investigate.
