In the early evening of Tuesday, March 1, 2022, the life of 26-year-old KeAyron Hill, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on the streets of Birmingham, Alabama. Just after 5 p.m., officers from the city's West Precinct were dispatched to the 1800 block of Bessemer Road following a report of a person down. Upon their arrival, they discovered Hill lying unresponsive in the roadway, having sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
