On April 18, 2024, 21-year-old Anthony Lambert Jr. was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 4:20 p.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 5700 block of Avenue I. Upon arrival, they discovered Lambert unresponsive in the front yard of a residence in the 900 block of 58th Street Ensley, exhibiting visible signs of trauma. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
