On April 1, 2021, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Birmingham Police officers responded to a shooting at 1516 Vanderbilt Road. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Louis Bryant unresponsive inside the residence. Despite life-saving efforts by Birmingham Fire and Rescue, Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene.
