Vanderick L. Thomas, a 28-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on May 10, 2015. The shooting occurred in the 700 block of 30th Street North, near a residential area. Authorities received calls about the gunfire around 10:30 p.m. and quickly responded to the scene. Thomas was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
