Death by Force

On May 10, 2015, 28-year-old African American male Vanderick L. Thomas was fatally shot in his apartment on the 300 block of 6th Street Southwest in Birmingham, Alabama. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute over gambling.
