In the winter of 2017, the life of 22-year-old Denzal Veron Moorer was cut short by an act of violence in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of Monday, February 20th, Moorer was found suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle in the 800 block of Omega Street Southwest.
