On April 18, 2021, 48-year-old Jermaine Demarico Johnson was fatally shot in his residence at 3039 Chase Lane in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 5:50 p.m., when East Precinct officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Johnson unresponsive in the living room, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
