On February 25, 2022, at approximately 1:25 p.m., 22-year-old Marquis Antone Black Jr. of Fairfield, Alabama, was fatally shot in Birmingham's Kingston neighborhood. A South Precinct officer, while patrolling the 900 block of 47th Street North, heard multiple gunshots.
