Cory Lamont Peterson, 35, was fatally shot on March 10, 2021, at a Red Roof Inn in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred just after midnight when Bessemer Police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Peterson suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was subsequently transported to UAB Medical West Hospital.
