In the early morning hours of June 28, 2020, a dispute outside a business on Columbia Pike in Arlington, Virginia, shattered the night's calm and ended a young man's life. Donovan A. Green Jr., a 21-year-old male from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was fatally wounded in a burst of gunfire that erupted from a vehicle fleeing the scene. The incident, which also left two other individuals with minor injuries, unfolded just after 2:30 a.m. as a large crowd was dispersing.
