On a Wednesday in Roanoke, Virginia, the afternoon of August 5, 2026, was shattered by violence. In the 3700 block of Grandview Avenue NW, what began as a physical altercation between two men spiraled into an exchange of gunfire. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 22-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
