In the early morning hours of December 23, 2015, a call about a man down led Roanoke police to a residence on Eastern Avenue NE. Inside, they discovered the body of 44-year-old Ancelmo Maldonado Castillo, a male victim who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his upper body.
