In the early hours of April 30, 2016, a dispute in downtown Roanoke, Virginia, tragically cut short the life of 35-year-old Kendall Lamont Wallace. The incident, which began as a verbal argument, escalated into a physical altercation and ended with Wallace suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. He was discovered on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Campbell Avenue SE and was rushed to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 3:08 a.m.
