Edward LeAnthony Gates, a 43-year-old Black man, died on September 17, 2023, in a shooting that stemmed from a domestic dispute in Roanoke, Virginia. The incident, which took place at a residence on Hunt Avenue, ultimately led to the arrest of his stepson.
