On June 29, 2024, in Roanoke, Virginia, 29-year-old Jerron Anthony Byers was shot in the 3500 block of Shenandoah Avenue NW. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Byers succumbed to his injuries on July 8, 2024. The Roanoke Police Department has been investigating the incident; however, as of December 20, 2024, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
