In the summer of 2024, a shooting incident in Roanoke, Virginia, led to the death of 29-year-old Jerron Anthony Byers. On the evening of June 29th, police were alerted to two individuals with gunshot wounds in the 3500 block of Shenandoah Avenue. One victim, a woman, was transported to the hospital by emergency services. Byers was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.
