In the late hours of March 1, 2025, the life of 42-year-old Lamar Nicolas Burke was tragically cut short in Roanoke, Virginia. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 10 p.m. in the 700 block of 30th Street Northwest, police officers found Burke with gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Burke was a father to six children and a grandfather to one.
