On July 1, 2021, a promising young life was cut short when 21-year-old Brandon Tyler Hensley was fatally shot in Roanoke, Virginia. The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. in the 3800 block of Panorama Avenue NW, at The Cove at Peter's Creek apartment complex. Hensley was reportedly walking out to start his car when he was struck by gunfire. Responding officers found him with a serious gunshot wound.
