Dorothy Leishman Wood Madden, aged 25, disappeared from Lorain, Ohio, on August 8, 1975. She was last seen near her residence on the 1100 block of West 11th Street. Her case remained unsolved for several years until her skeletal remains were discovered on March 9, 1981, in a rural area located on Hawke Road in Columbia Station, Ohio. The remains were found wrapped in a yellow and white striped bedsheet, and forensic examination indicated a probable death sometime between 1979 and 1981.
