On November 14, 2020, Tenisha Burdine, a 30-year-old woman from Dayton, OH, tragically lost her life. She was shot by her husband, Tremayne Lee Burdine, 37, inside their home on Vernon Drive while their three children were present. Following the shooting, Tremayne dropped off the children at a relative's house before fleeing the scene in his black SUV. The children informed the relative that their father had shot their mother.
