In the early morning hours of December 7, 2017, the life of 56-year-old Daniel Liptak, a male resident of Roanoke, Virginia, was tragically cut short. Roanoke Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1500 block of Patterson Avenue SW. Upon their arrival, they discovered Liptak in the front yard of a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body.
Despite the gravity of his injury, Daniel Liptak was found conscious by the responding officers.
He was quickly transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for medical attention. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead before 7 a.m. that same morning.
