On August 12, 2023, 16-year-old Jamar Avery Muse of Roanoke, Virginia, tragically lost his life to gun violence. The incident occurred on Patton Avenue Northwest, where a shooting took place during a party attended predominantly by juveniles. Another teenager sustained injuries in the same incident.
