In the spring of 2023, a dispute inside a Roanoke, Virginia convenience store tragically escalated, ending the life of 31-year-old Steven Don Crowder. On the evening of Sunday, April 16, Crowder was a customer at the 7-Eleven located at 1410 Grandin Road S.W. when an argument broke out between him and a store clerk.
