On a late summer afternoon in Roanoke, Virginia, the life of 36-year-old Rajae Juan Henderson, a Black/African American man, was tragically cut short. On Saturday, August 27, 2016, at approximately 3:20 p.m., police responded to the Bluestone apartment complex, a public housing community situated between Plantation Road and Tinker Creek in the northeast quadrant of the city.
