On Saturday, August 27, 2016, at approximately 3:20 p.m., police responded to the Bluestone apartment complex, a public housing community situated between Plantation Road and Tinker Creek in the northeast quadrant of the city.
There, they discovered Henderson, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
Henderson, who was also known by the name Eddie Riles, was a Roanoke native, born on August 20, 1980, and educated in the city's public school system.
