In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 28, 2015, the life of 35-year-old Gerald Doran Hairston was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Westwind Apartments on Ordway Drive Northwest in Roanoke, Virginia. When police responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 3:27 a.m., they discovered both Hairston and a 31-year-old woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
