In the early morning hours of September 12, 2020, a violent encounter outside a bar on Bridge Street in Roanoke, Virginia, claimed the life of 35-year-old Derrick Lamar 'Bruce' Bostick. A graduate of Butler High School in Augusta, Georgia, and a former student at Virginia Western Community College, Derrick was known as a devoted father, son, and reliable friend who enjoyed spending quality time with his daughter.
