Trevonn Jason, an 18-year-old male, died on April 1, 2026, after a shooting in Garden City, Georgia, in the Savannah area. Authorities said officers were called that Wednesday evening to the 300 block of Chatham Villa Drive after a report that a man had been shot. When police arrived, they found Trevonn suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a hospital for treatment. Despite efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead.

The shooting unfolded around 6:46 p.m., turning an ordinary evening on Chatham Villa Drive into the scene of a homicide investigation. Police later confirmed Trevonn as the victim after his next of kin had been notified. Public memorial information identified him as Tre’Vonn C. Jason and said he was born on June 23, 2007, in Savannah, Georgia, where he lived his life before his death on April 1, 2026.

In the days after his death, the case remained active and ongoing. Garden City police did not publicly release a suspect description, motive, or detailed account of what led up to the shooting. No online source located reported an arrest, named suspect, charges, trial proceedings, or conviction connected to Trevonn’s death.

Investigators asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact Detective Matthews at 912-963-2709. Funeral arrangements were later announced through Adams Funeral Services in Savannah, with a viewing scheduled for April 17, 2026, and a celebration of life on April 18, 2026. The publicly available record leaves Trevonn’s death as a young life lost to gun violence, with the unanswered questions still centered on who shot him and why.
