On February 14, 2014, 20-year-old Rashaad Spann was fatally shot in Savannah, Georgia. The incident occurred around 2:14 a.m. near the east end of Hawaii Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they found Spann wounded in a car. He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center but later died from his injuries. The police quickly arrested Fashad Kennedy, another 20-year-old, and charged him with felony murder in connection to the shooting.
