Montrez Burroughs, an 11-year-old boy from Savannah, Georgia, tragically died on April 4, 2014, after being shot by a 12-year-old friend. The incident occurred while the two boys were handling a gun inside a home on Church Street in west Savannah. The firearm discharged accidentally, striking Montrez.
